In celebration of this, the sixth anniversary of Exile Comics, Scott and I want to tease a bit of what we are working on.

So I kind of forgot to post on Tuesday. Good thing there’s another day of the week that starts with a T!

Today I’m reaching into my old bag of sketches, because I’m feeling nostalgic.

So here’s MegaMan and ProtoMan. I was listening to the Protomen CD a lot and had a huger to draw them. It’s greatness breaks tables!

I also have this little dozy I did for Scott. He was talking about doing comics again where he had Tom Servo floating around behind him. So I made him mill Kevin Murphy.

So there ya go! I have fulfilled my end of the deal. Now, GIVE ME BACK MY PLANE!

Oh, hello there. Didn’t see you come in.

Yes, it’s tuesday and it’s sketchblog and it’s me, the lovable Carl. My sketch is me working out how I want a character, I’m calling him Chet for right now, should look. It’s for a short animation I wish to do, not some fancy comic. Basically, I was trying out hairstyles as I seem to be able to draw 1 or 2, but wanted to see if I could explore more. Which is hard after not drawing for a few months.

But there you have it. Proof. Next week tuesday I should have some designs for the female lead. Makes me wish I could draw girls better!

Lesserthan – A series of images

So, I started Lesserthan. A series of images that has no schedule or planned out anything. I take it strip to strip without knowing what I want to do. I urge you to check it out and let me know what you think. Link-o-matic. To get some background on what I’m doing and thoughts on what I’m doing, you can check out my blog, conveniently linked on the Lesserthan site. I attached a very sketchy image which will likely grow into lesserthan 5 and be kind of a title page for the series.

The Exile 3: Sepentine is coming…again…

As Scott so boldly announced with a Trevor sketch of Clistro, The Exile 3: Serpentine will be coming to a long awaited close. The gears are turning in Exile Comics land, grinding the beans to make sweet coffee and comics.

The process however has just begun, so it’ll be a little bit before the scripts are done and passed out and then drawn. Yes thats right, another scripted Exile ending. Collaborative endings are difficult when everybody has a separate idea on how it ends. But, we collaborated in the design of the ending, and the scripts aren’t hard fact. It’ll still have that charm you came to love , then left you, then kind of woo’d you back, then died, and is now reborn.

I guess I’m saying I’m just excited for comic collaboration once again!
